IP5 Offices Statistical Report
The Five IP Offices (IP5 Offices) – the European Patent Office (EPO), the Japan Patent Office (JPO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China (SIPO), and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) – have published their annual compilation of patent statistics.
According to this report, the IP5 Offices granted 923,979 patents in 2012, which represents an increase of 17% in relation to the previous year.
